65.I repeated the purging exercise the next day on another mountain in the Paradise forest near Zourva. I got horribly lost and an evening wind picked up as I tried to find my way back down the rocky goat tracks. I remained calm. It was all part of the process. I got back to my little cottage and poured myself a whisky and I felt that 90 per cent of the grief was passed through. I don’t think the remaining 10 per cent will ever go. I can still feel my partner in crime with me most days and I regularly wail out my longing for her into the sides of mountains.
